Question: I am creating an ebook and I am trying to decide how much money and effort to put into the interior design of the book. I see some down side to too much design inside, since some people will really want just the content and words, but is this the wrong way to go? How important is interior design to a good quality ebook? Does anyone know how often people print ebooks to read vs reading them off the screen? I think this is also an important factor to consider, since more design and white space makes it harder to print, or at least it makes more pages. Any guidance here would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Answer:The main value of the ebook is in the content. If you are running on low budget I wouldnt worry about the design so much. You can always add it at a later stage once the book starts selling.

Most of the books in fact I see as being pretty basic, however when the buying audience is likely to print it out, you have to consider the look of it when its printed.

It seems that when a person sees a visual image of what they are buying online, they are more tempted to buy. I guess this comes from the original problem of online marketing. Its hard to buy for people if they cant feel the product.

I offer ebook cover web design for $75 for an ebook cover if you are interested. Please email me to place your order at alexei@youreasywebsolutions.com
