I’ve done a lot of research around membership site platforms trying to find the ultimate one which would be suitable for most businesses.
At first I was going through amember and while it seemed to be doing a lot of things, the control panel was too complicated for the clients and something was always not 100% right. There were couple of other ones, which are not even worth mentioning as they would only do one thing and not work with anything else.
Finally I stumbled across WishList, which seemed to do everything that I needed, including content management manipulation (through wordpress) and recurring payments (through a number of gateways). It even allowed me to setup sequential content to be given to the user at a specific interval (weekly). So I can confidently say that it is the best membership site software around.
