A few people who are just starting onlne asked me about best hosting provider to host wordpress blog.

First of all, the hosting has to be PHP based hosting which is normally called Linux hosting. Not everyone understands this, but Windows hosting does not support PHP and mySQL by detault.

It makes it a lot easier, if you host your wordpress blog on a hosting with cPanel. CPanel allow you to install and update blogs very easy using their Fantastico feature.

You will find it very complicated installing wordpress without Fantastico, unless you are comfortable setting up MySQL databases.

I personally use Hostgator to host all my websites and wordpress blogs. However there are many other cPanel based hosting providers such as BlueHost and Hostmonster
