During split testing of many websites I have noticed that adding an ebook cover or a product image to a sales letter makes a difference in sales. The difference we had was by about 8%.
It seems that when a person sees a visual image of what they are buying online, they are more tempted to buy. I guess this comes from the original problem of online marketing. Its hard to buy for people if they cant feel the product.
