Ive recently put together a website for Andrej Brummer. This website is about Saltwater Aquarium Maintenance. This is a perfect example of a great niched topic following Andrew and Daryl Grant’s model.

The website has a great sales letter and product. I strongly recommend you to check it out here.

Here is what Andrej Brummer wrote to me after I finished his saltwater aquarium website:

I am so impressed with my new website, it looks really professional and Alex really knows what hes doing when it comes to setting up an eyecatching, cutting edge website. I already have recommended Alex to all my friends and contacts as not only does he provide an awesome website but his customer service is outstanding, never failing to answer any question I have

My Occasional Marketing System

Occasional marketing is the concept I use to drive traffic to my websites at the times when certain events take place. For example, two years ago I tried this concept with the Football World Cup and drove a lot of traffic to my football blog which was monetizing via AdSense and Banners to betting companies.

Let me explain in more detail. A lot of different retailers create special offers according to different events. Just think of Christmas or Easter sales and the ways people do shopping during that time. Many people are after Christmas discounts, Christmas oriented merchandise and gifts. So being prepared for something for an event with your website or videos ranking high in search engines and YouTube can lead to more targeted visitors during that time.

At the moment there is UEFA Euro 2008 taking place and I am running another football blog which monetizes using AdSense and Banners. At the same time I am also building a list of people who are interested in football using aweber list building service.

Today I have uploaded 5 videos of goals using TubeModgul.com and in 1 hour those videos had between 300 and 500 hits each, which is absolutely incredible.

You can check out my blog here - Euro 2008 Highlights and Goals

Its getting between 1000 and 4000 people per day. Real People

So here is what I would advise you to do.

Check your calendar to see when the next event which could be suitable for your business or website is coming up.

I hope you find this Occasional Marketing strategy useful.

Learn more about how to Drive Internet Traffic

How to drive traffic to your website

I would drive traffic using this strategy.

Use free http://sitening.com/ tools to make sure that your website is SEO ready with all the structure.

Set up Google Adwords and use their Website Content Keyword Tool to see which keywords Adwords think your site would advertise for.

Put together a number of ads (3-5), use the ads that would describe your site the best including the offer that your site makes.

Spend about $100-200 testing to see which ads and keywords work the best.

Replicate adwords campaign in Facebook Social Ads

Set up Promo Videos in Youtube, Metacafe etc (use TubeMogul.com, it will save you time). Make sure to use the description (best adwords ad) and a link to your website in description. Use tags that are long tail keywords (from your adwords)

Go to forums and create a signature with the best working ad (google adwords) and a link to your website ofcourse.

Go to sites that rank well in google for your keywords and have a look if you can buy banners there. Set up a banner with your best working adwords ad. You can advertise for as little as $25 per month.

Use free http://sitening.com/ tools again to make sure that your website is SEO ready with all the structure and links coming in.

If you can get into Yahoo and DMOZ directories you will be doing well.

Set up a blog as a part of your website. Make sure to put navigation bar of your website, so that when spiders come, they can crawl your entire site from your blog.

There are tonnes of things which you can do with your blog such as directories and social bookmarking sites….

This should get you going.

Make Sushi At Home Project

I have been working on Make Sushi at Home project recently and have discovered a few interesting strategies of driving traffic to my website.

While I have been working on editing the videos (i am still working on them), I have set up Make Sushi At Home Blog which has a few video fragments of my sushi making videos. I have put those on YouTube for promotion purposes and they started getting clicks. But thats not the main thing. I have also submitted my blog posts to Digg.com and ended up ranking in top 5 in google for each of my video posts through Digg.com.

So I reckon you should definitely try doing the same for your blog, if you have one.

For those of you who are wondering, I am hoping to get Make Sushi At Home website ready by mid April.

Clickbank Download Page Problem

Clickbank Download Page Problem

Recently there has been a problem noticed with quite a few pages that are download pages of clickbank products. So basically all your products can be download for free through search engines. In Yahoo and Google a search phrase “clkbank right click” brings up all the pages that have clkbank and right click present on. 97% of those are the download thank you pages of electronic products such as ebooks.

The reason why this happens is because some of the thank you pages are not secured properly and the index search spider picks them up as they all have words CLKBANK (name on the credit card transaction) and right here (download instructions) present.

How can you avoid this?

Make sure nothing links to your thank you page besides clickbank.

Replace the word CLKBANK with image.

Dont just call the thank you download page “thankyou.htm” call it something else, less meaningful

Google Slap Quick Fix

How to avoid Google Slap Part 2

The quickest and easiest way to avoid Google slap is to add articles based on your keyword. Your keywords have to be specific though, one word keywords are hard to deal with.

You can fetch those articles from GoArticles.com or ArticleCity.com, however it is best to write your own.

You can also adjust your index page to have your keywords present within it and also call it keyword.html. So all you got to do is guide people to keyword.html rather than your main page using AdWords

Yaro Starak the Blogger

Every time I would make a post about something I would find that later when I do a search in google for that particular phrase, Yaro Starak is just in front of me in terms of ranking.

Yaro is a great blogger whom I personally know and recommend as someone who is on top of things that make news in Online Business or anything to do with it. It you want to find Yaro’s website (which I strongly recommend), please do a search in Google for “Yaro” and you will surely stumble upon his blog.

We writes about things like Pay Per Click Program, Entrepreneurs, New Marketing Programs/Strategies and Seminars that he visits. Ive seen him at a few this year. In any way Yaro, you’ve done it again, your post on Facebook Pay Per Click ranks higher in google than mine. Well Done! :)

Facebook Pay Per Click System

I am sure many of you are addicted to facebook. Well Facebook has just accounced their new Pay Per Click system. They previously had a system called [tag]Facebook Flyers[t/ag] which allowed advertisers to put their ad on the left hand side and pay per number of impressions. However the Click Through Rate as I found out from the forums was very low.

It works similarly to google adwords, only you get to pick your audience. You can select by gender, age category and interests. You can have much more text then in Google Adwords and your listing is also allowed to have an image which I found quite attention grabbing.

I have activated a couple of campaigns just to see how good/bad it is. So in a couple of days I will let you know how Good or Bad Facebook Pay Per Click System is.

If you want to try Facebook Pay Per Click System, just go to their website and follow the “Advertisers” link at the bottom
